Mass at the Imperial Chapel on 15 November 2015:
Joseph Haydn, Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo

Haydn wrote his seventh setting of the mass ordinary in 1775, for the
Brothers Hospitallers in Eisenstadt; it is dedicated to their patron saint, John of God - Joannis de Deo. The Benedictus movement - essentially a soprano aria - has a long organ introduction; the mass is known as "Little Organ Mass".

The Chapel Imperial performs it every year.
