Gerald Wirth's
"The Journey of the Little Prince"
"You can only see properly with your heart. The essential
is invisible to the eyes.“ The little Prince has to visit a number of planets and meet a string of characters with very different
opinions before reaching this insight. Gerald Wirth composed his opera based on the famous book by Antoine de Saint-Exupérys
in 1997; in 2018, he added the role of a narrator for a new production at MuTh, directed by Philipp M. Krenn.
Canadian tenor Michael Schade sings the narrator, choirboy Paul sings the title role. In addition to the boys' choir, girls and boys from the Choir's primary school, the girls' choir, and the Choir's Senior High School take to the stage in this production.
