Niccolò Morello was born in Soave, Italy. He studied piano in Vicenza, as well as orchestral conducting and choral conducting in Trieste.
In 2021-22, he was an Erasmus scholar at the University of Music in Vienna. He attended master classes with conductors such
as Jorma Panula, Marin Alsop, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Mark Stringer, Nicolás Pasquet, Vladimir Kiradjiev, and Giancarlo Andretta.
As a member of the Wiener Singverein, Niccolò Morello has sung in numerous concerts with orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic,
the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre national de France, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Oslo Symphony Orchestra,
and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle, Riccardo Muti, Semën Byčkov, Lorenzo Viotti, Lahav Shani,
Marie Jacquot, Thomas Guggeis, and Herbert Blomstedt.
Niccolò Morello is active as a concert pianist in Italy, performing at the Teatro Ristori in Verona, among other venues. He
made his conducting debut in 2019 with the Venetian Youth Orchestra for Strings, which he founded. While still a student,
he conducted academic concerts and took part in international competitions throughout Europe. He has conducted the Pro Arte
Orchestra of the Vienna University of Music, the Danubia Symphony Orchestra in Budapest, the Orchestra of the Teatro Verdi
in Trieste, the Antonio Vivaldi Orchestra and other chamber music ensembles such as the Ensemble Contemporanea Tartini in
Trieste. In 2023, he conducted Purcell's ‘Dido and Aeneas’ at the Teatro Verdi in Muggia, and the world premiere of ‘Orfeo
nell'Underground’ by contemporary composer Fabio Cuccu at the Teatro Miela in Trieste.
Morello is the founder and musical director of the vocal ensemble ‘VoxAlacer’. In March 2025, he was appointed Kapellmeister
of the Vienna Boys Choir. His first tour with the choir takes him to Switzerland and Italy.
