Christmas at the Imperial Chapel

On Christmas Day, the musicians of the Chapel Imperial perform Joseph Haydn's sixth setting of the mass ordinary, the "Missa in honorem Sancti Nicolai". Written in 1772 for Haydn's patron, Prince Nicholas Esterhazy, the joyful, pastoral mass seems particularly suited to Christmas.
