Gustav Mahler, Symphony no. 8 in E flat major

Mahler's "Symphony of a Thousand" is seldom performed, due to the number of performers involved. We love the piece, and we are looking forward to two performances this weekend, with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Singverein, the Vienna Singakademie, and seven fabulous soloists, conducted by Franz Welser-Möst at the Vienna Konzerthaus.
