World War II ended in Europe 75 years ago

For 75 years, we have been living in peace. 8 May is the day of liberation from the terror reign of the Nazis. It is a day of celebration.

Austria's Federal Chancellery has asked us for a music video to mark the occasion; as the Coronavirus pandemic makes an actual performance impossible. We have chosen to sing "Ave Maria - Angelus Domini" by Franz Biebl. It is hauntingly beautiful and deeply moving; it is a prayer for peace. And Biebl, the composer, was drafted into the Wehrmacht in World War II, was forced to fight and wa captured as POW. It is the perfect piece for the occasion. 68 choir boys from all four choirs participated in this video.
