New Year's Concert

at MuTh, the Choir's concert hall

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year – with music: Mozart’s A Little Night Music, a wonderfully scary arrangement of Schubert’s Erlkönig (The Erlking), Schumann’s “Zigeunerleben” (The Gypsy Life), and a traditional Ukrainian New Year's carol, a shchedrivka. Of course, there will also be plenty of Strauss to go round: the Emperor Waltz, the Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, and Dorfschwalben aus Österreich (Village Swallows from Austria). In addition to music from the waltz king, you will also hear compositions from his younger brother, Josef.
