The 2024 Good Shepherd Concert Series at MuTh

The Good Shepherd Concerts at MuTh are well established. They are the Choir's unique carol concerts celebrating shepherds and shepherd music,  after all, the shepherds in the Bible are the very first to realise what Christmas is actually about - and they represent all of us. This year, we have selected works by Jan Dismas Zelenka, Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel; in addition, a Christmas hymn by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, modern fare by Philip Stopford, Herbert Bittrich, Jan Sandström, and Kim André Arnesen as well as the most beautiful traditional carols from Austria and Ireland.

There are five concerts in this series; the first three feature the Boys Choir, Girls Choir and Chorus Juventus, the last two are sung by the Boys Choir and Chorus Juventus. All concerts will be accompanied by the Schubert Academy.
