Christmas and New Year at the Imperial Chapel, Vienna

Over the Christmas Break, the Sunday services are sung by choristers whose families are based in Vienna. The mass on the morning of the 24th is a Renaissance piece for eight-part choir a cappella. Haydn's "Nicolaimesse" and Mozart's "Coronation Mass" are joyful pieces of music - recordings of all three works can be found in our Anniversary Box (Decca).
